Our Story

The Nesting Place came about when Jennifer's home birth practice kept getting asked to attend births on the Kenai Peninsula (a far drive from Wasilla!).  The need for a birth center in Soldotna became evident.  Jennifer birthed several of her own babies on the Kenai Peninsula with Midwives and wanted women today to have the same opportunity.  On a scouting trip a perfect opportunity presented itself for a sweet office/birth space.  While we loved our first location, we quickly outgrew it and moved into our new building in April of 2023 after an extensive interior remodel.  We are excited to finally be done with all the remodeling!
